Obsession and Backrooms
We’re going to do a funny movie review of two big box office horror flicks that just came out.
2 days ago I saw Obsession, and I have to say it is the best horror film I have seen in a LONG time even though it gave me PTSD bc I have had guys save my trash before, which I think is very weird. Part of me thinks it was written about a girl who was just on her period. I left this movie thinking I deserve apologies from people for telling me that I was acting out. The scariest part of this movie was that it just depicts what a guy will do when you friend zone him for long enough (they do start saving your trash.) I consider this funny horror I found myself laughing, and also jumping out of my chair. 10/10 would see again.
Tonight I went to see backrooms. Dude WHAT THE FUCK. At first I felt like it was a movie about a guy lost in a vacant hotel searching for an ice machine. This one might give me nightmares, not bc I’m scared but bc that was fucking WEIRD . The monsters weren’t even the problem, I’d lose my mind in that place based just off the fluorescent lighting ,and beige walls. Also am I the only one that thought that giant pirate looked absolutely hilarious? I still don’t get it though. I’ll probably be up all night trying to wrap my head around what I just watched. This one was freaky weird scary, I give it an 8/10. I wouldn’t mind not seeing this one again though just bc conference rooms are already scary enough normal.
I really will probably be up all night! Leave a comment, and a like. Also I highly recommend doing this blogging thing as a comic to draw traffic to your website - it works. I am going to try to sleep now & hope my dog protects me from whatever I just saw in backrooms bc again, WHAT THE FUCK.
Go see both of these movies. Horror wise we haven’t seen these concepts ever, extremely original & if your gf/bf/friends don’t like horror movies just tell her that Obsession is a romantic comedy, and that Backrooms is about Pirates.

I love this idea. Delightful writing. I'd recommend a link to a Letterboxd account. That's how you connect with movie nerds. A social media post where you bounce 2 movies off each other is a very strong format. I haven't seen a trailer for Obsession, I know nothing, so my impression of it based on your writing is that it sounds similar to the Roman Polanski film Repulsion (1965), great movie. I like what you're striving for with this and will keep an eye posted. You've always had a strong sense for aesthetics, that's clear. Putting that into words is a beautiful thing.
